my kitten grim grew up and evil, but i love her. and yes, daniel and i are still together his birthday is tomorrow.. he rejected his present yesterday, so looks like i'm going shopping today. hah
my birthday was fantabulous, had a party/metal show at TC's house. i was to' up. and it ruled. much thanks to dead fucking whore, disembowled corpse, and the sacred datura for playing!

| omg hilarious. |

http://www.fox.com/home.htm click on the small grey box that says trading spouses. theres a woman screaming throughout the whole clip. and i've watched it 5 times now. it has greatly improved my day.
also, we're going to oktoberfest this weekend to get drunk on good german beer. and i'm excited. theres also two shows at 'che tiger, who?' i dont know if we're gonna go to. but i'm sure they'll be fun. the one on saturday is a punk band from texas.. and friday is a quieter band. my memory fails as to either of their names.

| irony is funny. and peta is evil. |
[17 Oct 2005|12:59pm] |
|
“PETA raked in nearly $29 million last year alone, but apparently it couldn’t spare any money to care for the flesh-and-blood animals entrusted to its employees. It’s ironic -- If anyone else were caught red-handed with 31 dead dogs, PETA would be holding a press conference to denounce them.”
"In 2003 PETA euthanized over 85 percent of the animals it took in, finding adoptive homes for just 14 percent. By comparison, the Norfolk SPCA found adoptive homes for 73 percent of its animals and the Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 66 percent. PETA’s required report documenting its 2004 record is currently over 4 weeks late."

| Al Gore's speech on The Threat to American Democracy (a MUST read) |
[12 Oct 2005|10:50am] |
"It is important to note that the absence of a two-way conversation in American television also means that there is no "meritocracy of ideas" on television. To the extent that there is a "marketplace" of any kind for ideas on television, it is a rigged market, an oligopoly, with imposing barriers to entry that exclude the average citizen.
The German philosopher, Jurgen Habermas, describes what has happened as "the refeudalization of the public sphere." That may sound like gobbledygook, but it's a phrase that packs a lot of meaning. The feudal system which thrived before the printing press democratized knowledge and made the idea of America thinkable, was a system in which wealth and power were intimately intertwined, and where knowledge played no mediating role whatsoever. The great mass of the people were ignorant. And their powerlessness was born of their ignorance"

in case those of you from catoosa haven't heard.. two days ago mary-ellen miranda died. the kidney her mother donated to her her senior year failed. i remember how wonderful she looked after the operation. more healthy and beautiful than ever.. the funeral is on friday.. i want to go.. i should go.. i'm just not sure if i'm up to it. i could only force myself to go to one out of the past two funerals i should have gone to. its so emotionally stressful though. to see your highschool friends.. in a box. i'd almost just rather remember her the way she was. if you want more info on the funeral ( ie: time, location) email me at killhipsters@gmail.com and i'll send you the information.
she was a good person. one of the first people at catoosa to befriend me way back at 13.. this is sad.

i'm convinced now that every main street in tulsa is named after a small town in illinois. how quaint.
+ yesterday boy took me to a sushi bar, and it was marvelous. + our kitten's finally alright with the dog. + spent some time with the alecia muller before she runs off to "doo-rant" again. - i miss people like jenna west, johnny, glenn, and dominic. they need to come see me. seperately or in groups. either is acceptable.

so an acdc cover band from pawhuska lost their singer.. and i've been volunteered to go 'rock out' with them. this is something new and different, perhaps it'll be a blast.
and in other news: my summer school class is full of basketball players and foreigners. the girl who sits in front of me is from angola.. the boy next to me pakistan.. and the boy next to him, iran. i find the foreigners much more interesting than the seven foot tall ugly shoe wearing crowd.

and to quote das nuge: "i believe they are called the boy scouts for a reason, that is why there are no girls allowed. boys belong in the boy scouts. girls belong in the girl scouts. Those who are not sure belong at theatre camp."
daniel and i rocked the drive in a couple of nights ago. the new batman = not bad. the fight scenes are a bit dizzying, and i hate camera work that prohibits you from being able to tell what the fucks going on, but other than that.. and the fact that a girl from dawsons creek was the leading love interest, it was pretty good.
today we're making music. we meant to last night, but instead we went to sleep at 8:30 because we just rock that fucking hard.

today erik and i are bringing back the communist boyscout look we will be doing such as we indulge in hooka time at the public park. i had hoped there would be a gang of gay boys to make 'a day' of this.. alas, i found no gang. but 1.3 flamboyant humans will do just fine.
woodward, smoking, knee-high socks, oh my!
